A Trip Down Memory Lane
As you can tell, I am an 80s kid raised by the 90s. When Pamela Anderson’s boobs were still bouncing on Baywatch... when magazines were sexy, and somehow comics were sexier! We collected trading cards, and MTV still played music... and it was the best fucking music! Those were the days of flipping through the latest comic book, the rush of opening a new pack of trading cards, and feeling like a GOD when your pack contained a rare card.
Creating my own deck of collector’s cards has always been a dream of mine. It’s about more than just the cards – it’s about recapturing that feeling of excitement, that rush of nostalgia, and sharing it with those who appreciate a time when the world sucked a lot less.
Why BABE DECKS?
Why the fuck not? No seriously... if you’re asking that question you may not have been a collector in your youth. OMG, it was LEGAL GAMBLING for teenagers! And everyone and everything had an option for you to buy. MAGIC: THE GATHERING, MARVEL FLEER, STAR TREK THE GAME, GARBAGE PAIL KIDS, AND EVERY SPORT. They were literally crack! I remember opening up a pack of baseball cards once and getting the rarest card in the entire collection! I could have sworn right then and there I was going to be a millionaire! LOL I mean... people are still buying unboxed, unopened Pokémon cards from the first series! There’s a thrill to collecting as well as just holding a badass piece of nostalgia in your hands instead of through a computer screen.
So, I am going to make these, even if they don't sell. My goal with this brand and this company is to 100% run it like it's the biggest company on planet Earth, treat it as if I have millions and millions of followers and fans and customers until I do (even if that never happens). This is my art, my contribution and this is what I want to leave behind. Thank you for supporting that. We are loving our growth and new customers.
